About Greenvale Park Elementary
Greenvale Park Elementary is a unique and hidden jewel!
At GVP we prepare children for success in life, beyond a K-12 education, by understanding that diversity is our strength and together we are better. We are the most ethnically and socio-economically diverse school in Northfield. Greenvale's commitment to valuing diversity and fostering a culture of inclusivity and respect is reflected in its choice of mascot, the Greenvale Gecko. There over 1,500 different species of Geckos worldwide, but they are all Geckos. Geckos are also famous for their climbing ability: they are the animal kingdom's experts at literally climbing over every obstacle in their path. Greenvale expects its graduates to carry the values of inclusiveness and perseverance throughout their lives. As our principal tells the school at monthly building-wide meetings: "Once A Gecko, Always a Gecko".
